Sister Khema meets the Ven. Dr. Shinkai Kori, Chief High Priest of Nenbutsushu Buddhist Sect of Japan.

Lay member Mr. Joseph also meets Most Ven. Shinkai Kori, Chief High Priest of Nenbutsushu Buddhist Sect of Japan.
Mr. Stuteville receives flower at the temple entrance.
Temple priests gather to send off the delegation members to meet Dr. Kyuse Enshinjoh, Preseident of Buddhist Summit and to learn more about the state of World Buddhism.
Many people would come near our car as Bhante sent out Loving Kindness to everyone surrounding us. You could feel it in the air.
The delegation spent time here with Most Venerable Dr. Kyuse Enshijoh, President of Buddhist Summit at the elegant Ogurayama Guesthouse.

Then a fine state dinner was laid out  for the delegations for the Meal.

This was actually not European for the most part but rather an elegant Japanese dinner for everyone to experience.

A lovely Japanese garden reflecting the sea was visited outside the guesthouse following the meal.

Notice the stone carved boat in the background and the light colored stones to the left which represent the seas edge.

(From Left to Right)
Representatives from United States, Finland, and New Zealand rest on a wood bench outside of the Ogurayama Guesthouse after a meeting with Venerable Dr. Kyuse Enshijoh

Many of the trees in these gardens were over 100 years old.

Guests left by the walk through the garden out the gate for some sightseeing in Kyoto.
